Kentucky's Western Waterlands Region hosts two of the largest man-made lakes in the country.
The lakes, coupled with the four rivers that flow here - the Ohio, Cumberland, Mississippi and Tennessee - makes the region a mecca for water sports of all kinds. And don’t forget about the 170,000-acre Land Between the Lakes Recreation Area.

"Go at least once yearly to Hillman Ferry Campground near Land Between the Lakes. Its modern facilities are outstanding. Camp sites abound with shade and hook ups or primative. The fishing for channel cat is awesome, large and small mouth bass ... playgrounds, bike trails, hiking trails, and wildlife. Been camping there for 35 years now and its the best place ever been between Ohio and tip of Florida east of the Mississippi River. I think it's a well kept secre. True campers and outtdoor enthusiasts should definitely check this place out." Submitted by Tim
