You Told Us

Shaker VillageYou told us about: Shaker Village at Pleasant Hill
"What a wonderful, unique place! Shaker Village at Pleasant Hil near Burgin, Kentucky, and historic Harrodsburg and Danville, is a living history museum, where visitors can walk the grounds and truly see what life was like in the days of the Shakers, all surrounded by acres and acres of beautiful rolling Kentucky hills. Food, keepsakes and gifts aplenty at the gift shop." Submitted by Barry S.

The Kentucky Opry
You told us about: The Kentucky Opry
"The Kentucky Opry is a fun place to visit. It's a family run country music show with comedy and a variety of singers and musicians. Much like the shows in Branson Missouri. It is located 5 miles south of Kentucky Dam Village State Park on hwy 641. Their website has their schedule, prices and hours and such. And just down the road from them about a quarter of a mile, is a great little catfish place called The Catfish Kitchen."

Marion, Kentucky You told us about: Crittenden County / Marion
"My friends and I love to take a day trip to Marion, browse the many antique stores and gift shops, have lunch and then visit the nearby Amish Communtiy. There you will find fresh fruits and vegetables, plants, baked goods and a variety of handmade items. The people are friendly and helpful and I know you will have a great day. I stopped by the Tourist Commission Office on Main Street for a map and got really great directions . I hope you have as nice a day as we had." Submitted by Ann C.

Mountain Laurel Lake You told us about: Mountain Laurel Lake
"This is a great place to relax. The Cabins and the farmhouse all have fully equiped kithcens, fireplace, your own small boat to navigate the private lake. The hiking trail is really nice. The outdoor jacuzzi / spa was my personal favorite." Submitted by Deborah S.
